I just loved this story. I loved how it was told, I loved how courageous the storyteller was to go out hunting by himself his very first time, I loved that his mother let him do it, I loved everything about it. We baby our kids way too much these days. This is the kind of experience that helps a boy become a man and the storyteller did it without anyone with him. And then his family came together to celebrate his success. The story was told in such a way that I felt I was right there with him. This gives me hope that there are still some parents doing it right. Great job!
That was an absolutely beautiful story. It reminded me of growing up on my grandparents farm in Michigan and of simple times enjoying the richness of nature. My grandma too is suffering from Alzheimer’s. Thank you so much for sharing.
this is an amazing story and i love it so much! its soo special and takes me back to a place where i used to go hunting with my grandpa who i was very close to. i seriously teared up reading this! bc i can connect with it very well besides the fact this world is totally diffrent and im still young haha :)
